Uninstalling on Windows

To clean up a failed or previous LINA install on a system running Windows, do the following:

  • If the previous installation was successful, use the Control Panel Add/Remove program to delete LINA Runtime Environment and any installed LINA Apps.
  • In the event of a failed install, clean up the registry by typing "regedit" at the command prompt, then remove the LINA registry entries under "SOFTWARE" in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER entries
  • Stop the process linawindowsservice using the process manager that can be accessed by holding down the "CTRL-ALT-DELETE" keys.
  • Remove the directory "C:\Program Files\Lina Software".
  • Remove the subdirectory ".VirtualBox" under the user's home directory.
